1. Tools Covered by This Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to all products and extensions created by Defynd, including:

• RecruiterOS – A Chrome Extension that provides AI-powered candidate evaluation on mentioned job portals such as LinkedIn and a few others.

• Additional browser extensions, tools, and services released by Defynd in the future

• We do not sell, rent, or transfer your data to third parties.

• We do not collect personally identifiable information unless required and explicitly consented to by the user.

• We do not use your data for advertising or tracking purposes.

• We design all tools with privacy-first principles and minimize or eliminate data collection wherever possible.

3. Information We Collect

Most Defynd tools, including RecruiterOS, do not collect personal or sensitive user information beyond what is necessary for core functionality.

However, in some cases, tools may require temporary access to content in the browser for functionality (e.g., reading visible content on a LinkedIn profile to provide analysis). This data:

• Is processed locally in the browser where possible

• For AI-assisted analysis, limited and relevant information may be securely transmitted to third-party AI services strictly for generating user-requested insights. No data is used for advertising, tracking, or model training.

• Is not shared with third parties beyond the limited AI processing described above and is stored only locally where required for functionality. If future tools require additional permissions or collect specific types of data, this will be clearly stated during installation and in documentation.

4. Chrome Permissions Justification

To provide functionality like analyzing LinkedIn profiles, RecruiterOS and similar tools may request:

• ActiveTab: To analyze content of the current tab only after you explicitly activate the extension

• Scripting: To enable the extension interface and analyze publicly visible page content after explicit user activation

• Storage (if applicable): Only to store local preferences or settings on your device. We do not access cloud-based user data.

We never request or use permissions beyond what is essential for core functionality.

5. No Remote Code Execution

All our browser extensions run locally and do not fetch or execute remote scripts. This ensures user safety and eliminates the risk of unvetted behavior.

6. Data Security

Although data transmission is limited to what is necessary for core functionality, we follow best practices for secure development, sandboxing, and permissions management. Any tool that stores preferences locally does so using secure Chrome APIs.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as we release new tools or introduce new capabilities. If changes are significant, we will notify users through an update or on our website.
